Engagement story: dual-plant plastics group
A Changhua plastics group asked for a multi-cycle review across two plants sharing one AP team. Fieldwork found receiving clerks posting against blanket POs without quantity checks at the quieter site, while the busier site ran a stricter dock routine. The memorandum recommended aligning both plants to the stricter receiving checklist before adding ERP workflow. Management closed the high-priority items in six weeks; the bank’s follow-up visit focused on the closed findings rather than reopening the whole purchasing cycle.
Engagement story: electronics WIP cut-off
Ahead of year-end, an assembly plant near Taichung requested an inventory and WIP assessment only. Sampled jobs showed stage codes that lagged physical progress by one to two stations. We coached the production office to freeze a job-level WIP listing the morning after close and to photograph large panels that could not enter a count cage. External auditors still sampled heavily, yet follow-up requests on WIP dropped compared with the prior year according to the controller’s own count of email threads.
